We are excited to introduce a new customer onboarding experience and enhanced quality checks within the RISE with SAP Methodology. Starting April 1, 2024, all first-time subscribers to RISE with SAP will benefit from this improved experience at no extra cost.

RISE with SAP is a managed cloud offering designed to facilitate continuous innovation and transformation for businesses. It enables modernization of critical systems and processes through a collaborative and measurable approach. The offering includes the RISE with SAP Migration and Modernization program, which emphasizes smooth and secure migration of on-premise SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC) and SAP S/4HANA customers to the cloud. The program is built on three pillars: the RISE with SAP Methodology, transformation incentives, and an innovation road map, and provides tailored solutions for each customer’s unique starting point. Differentiated components cater to both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA customers, allowing them to leverage the latest innovations in RISE with SAP with a clean core approach.

At the heart of the program is the RISE with SAP Methodology, which incorporates best practices from thousands of successful implementations over the past three years. This methodology ensures a consistent approach from planning to go-live and ongoing operations, aligning with customers’ business transformation goals. Customers, whether through SAP or partner-led engagements, benefit from clear implementation stages and success KPIs, enabling them to harness the speed, agility, and advantages of the cloud.

Today’s enhancements to the RISE with SAP Methodology include a new onboarding experience and quality checks throughout the implementation phases. All new RISE with SAP customers will undergo this onboarding process at no additional cost. This experience includes guided enablement by SAP-assigned onboarding advisors and various tools and services to help customers confidently implement their cloud ERP solutions. Onboarding advisors assist customers through the process, ensuring alignment with the RISE with SAP Methodology and preparing them for implementation. This new experience simplifies best practice implementation of the clean core, making it a central, actionable, and measurable standard for all implementations. This ensures RISE with SAP customers can enjoy business agility, faster innovation cycles, and improved value realization.

The enhancements to the RISE with SAP Methodology feature:

• Expert onboarding guidance through embedded launch activities: A dedicated SAP advisor provides 1:1 enablement sessions, educating customers on the RISE with SAP Methodology, clean core strategy, and related implementation tools. Additionally, role-based, recorded enablement sessions cover business process best practices, solution architectures, and strategic topics leading up to the go-live milestone. • Clean core-focused success plan, runbook, and quality checks: We have developed a clean core success plan with clear milestones and KPIs, now integrated into the SAP Activate road map viewer. Here, customers, with SAP advisors and partners, can review recommended actions in customized road maps, aligning their needs with best practices to unlock business value faster. New quality gate checks validate that implementations align with clean core best practices before moving to the next project phase. We will continue to provide more tools, templates, training, and oversight to facilitate optimal migration or transition to the cloud, helping customers achieve their business goals. Later this year, we will introduce the RISE with SAP system transition workbench. This tool will assist the technical implementation of cloud ERP migrations by offering digital access to SAP-approved best practices and guidance, automation of tasks, and system health checks.
